While many families opened gifts, volunteers in Victor spent Christmas morning feeding dozens of outdoor cats, according to News10NBC.
Marlies and Chris Sullivan of the Neighborhood Cats Network delivered food and checked shelters for cats living near Rowley Road. The group provides meals, insulated beds, and warm straw-filled shelters to help cats survive winter weather.
The nonprofit also runs a trap-neuter-release program across Monroe and Ontario counties to control overpopulation. The Sullivans personally care for about 75 cats and say the work brings purpose and joy, even on holidays.
