Teen says he wasn’t part of brawl

A chaotic parking lot fight after a high school basketball game left a 15-year-old beaten on camera, but his family says he never took part, according to WIVT News 34.

The video shows players linked to Binghamton High School’s varsity team attacking the teen outside Union-Endicott High School after a November 11 game against Ithaca. Witnesses told police the fight followed an earlier clash involving Union-Endicott students and Binghamton’s junior varsity team.

The Binghamton School District says it disciplined students involved. But the teen says he arrived late from track practice and had no role in the earlier incident. His mother says he escaped with only a scraped hand.
