Christmas morning brought skis, smiles, and steady turns at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, where holiday skiers showed up despite bare ground elsewhere, according to 13-WHAM News.
Regulars packed the hill for a tradition stretching back decades. Resort leaders said a few hundred people ski there every Christmas, thanks to aggressive snowmaking that guarantees a white holiday even in lean winters.
The mountain sat about 50% open Thursday, with crews pushing to expand terrain as cold air helps snow production. Many skiers said lighter crowds and familiar faces make Christmas Day one of the best days to ride.
