Man arrested after brewery burglary in Seneca Falls

Police arrested a Seneca Falls man after a burglary at a popular downtown brewery following a busy holiday weekend.

The Seneca Falls Criminal Investigation Division arrested a 24-year-old man around 2 p.m. on Dec. 23 in connection with a break-in at Fall Street Brewing Company on Fall Street.


Police identified the suspect as Mekhi Lee Russ of Seneca Falls.

Investigators say the burglary happened during the early hours of Sunday morning after the “It’s a Wonderful Life” weekend celebration. Someone unlawfully entered the business and stole several items.

Russ now faces multiple charges. Police charged him with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, both Class D felonies. He also faces a Class E felony charge of fourth-degree grand larceny and a Class A misdemeanor charge for possession of burglar’s tools.
