Just one day after Elise Stefanik dropped out of the governor’s race, Donald Trump threw his full support behind Bruce Blakeman, according to Spectrum News. Trump called the Nassau County executive “MAGA all the way” and declared his “Complete and Total Endorsement” on Truth Social.
Blakeman, now the only Republican still running, said he was “blessed” to have Trump’s backing and promised to partner with him to “make New York safe and affordable.” He also secured an endorsement from state GOP chair Ed Cox.
Despite the boost, recent Siena polling shows Gov. Kathy Hochul still leads Blakeman by double digits.
