Former banker takes over Wayne County business

A longtime Wayne County manufacturer has a new owner after a former commercial banker stepped out of finance and into manufacturing. Tim Levine acquired Ruspak Corp., a specialty packaging company founded in 1959, marking a major ownership transition for the Finger Lakes business.

Levine left a 15-year banking career to lead the company, saying Ruspak’s profitability and loyal customer base made the move worth the risk. He plans steady growth, focused on employee retention, customer relationships, and careful expansion rather than rapid scaling.

The deal, guided by Next Point LLC, drew multiple offers and highlights strong buyer demand for lower-middle-market manufacturers, where sellers increasingly prioritize cultural fit and long-term continuity over top-dollar valuations.
