A last-minute venue switch turned Bristol Mountain into a national stage after warm weather wiped out plans in Utah, according to RochesterFirst. The ski resort will host the U.S. Selections Freestyle Aerials on Monday, a key event that helps decide who represents Team USA in World Cup competitions tied to the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The event moved from Park City after organizers couldn’t maintain snow conditions. Coaches at Bristol Mountain said crews built jumps and made snow in just days to pull it off.
Local teen athletes say competing at home boosts their confidence. The free, public competition starts at 6 p.m. near the Challenger Terrain Park.
