Deputies arrested a Town of Arcadia man after an investigation into a mailbox incident on a rural road.
James P. Burm, 66, of Budd Road in the Town of Arcadia, was arrested December 18 by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest followed an incident reported on Clark Road earlier in November.
Deputies said the incident happened November 2 on Clark Road in the Town of Arcadia. Investigators determined Burm took someone else’s mailbox without permission and threw it out.
Deputies arrested Burm at his home around 5 p.m. on December 18. He was charged with one count of criminal tampering in the third degree.
Officials said Burm was held for CAP and will appear in Arcadia Town Court at a later date.
