Shoppers across Yates County now have a new way to support local businesses with one digital card.
The Yates County Chamber of Commerce has launched a new Community Gift Card Program aimed at keeping spending local while giving residents and visitors more flexibility. The digital gift cards work at participating Chamber Member businesses throughout Yates County and beyond.
The Chamber designed the program to make buying and using gift cards simple. People can purchase cards online through the Chamber’s website or in person. Cardholders can then use them at a wide mix of businesses, including wineries, restaurants, shops, and service providers.
A new way to shop local
The Community Gift Card works as a single digital card accepted at multiple locations. Users can email it as a gift or keep it for themselves. The Chamber says it’s meant to remove the guesswork from choosing where to spend while still supporting local merchants.
Participating businesses appear on the Chamber’s website, along with options to buy cards in different dollar amounts. Any listed Chamber Member location accepts the card.
The program also includes a “Rewards Hub Volume Discount.” This option allows businesses or organizations to buy gift cards in bulk for staff, board members, or volunteers. The Chamber says it’s ideal for incentives or group gift giving.
Why the Chamber launched it
“We’re thrilled to roll out this new digital gift card program,” said Jessica Bacher, President & CEO of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a win-win for both consumers and our local business community. Every purchase made with the Yates County Community Gift Card directly supports our small businesses and keeps dollars circulating locally.”
The Chamber emphasized that older gift certificates have not expired. Gift certificates from the previous Chamber program can still be used and redeemed through 2026.
