Deputies arrested four people after a countywide underage alcohol enforcement effort caught businesses selling to someone under 21.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office identified the individuals as Wesley E. Miller, 67, of West Bloomfield; Sarah M. Dean, 44, of Canandaigua; Stuart M. Purdy, 36, of Manchester; and Matthew C. Conway, 21, of Geneva.
Sheriff’s deputies and the New York State Liquor Authority ran the detail on Dec. 19 across Ontario County.
Authorities checked 37 establishments during the operation.
Four locations sold alcoholic beverages to a person under the legal drinking age.
As a result, deputies charged all four individuals with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.
Each person received an appearance ticket.
They will answer the charges at a later date in their respective courts.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office conducted the detail with assistance from the New York State Liquor Authority.
