PUBLIC NOTICE: Sodus Point board meeting

Village leaders in Sodus Point plan to tackle contracts, infrastructure costs, and a possible tax cap override at their next board meeting.

The Village Board will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom, with a link to be posted the day of the meeting.

Trustees are expected to review and approve minutes from the Nov. 20 regular meeting and the Dec. 2 organizational meeting before moving into reports from the mayor, deputy mayor, trustees, and the code enforcement officer.

Public comment will follow.

Several ongoing issues return under old business, including an update on Welter-related root damage and a driveway issue at 8603 Greig St.

New business items make up much of the agenda. Trustees will discuss a professional services contract for the village attorney, a Silver Waters driver membership request, and 2026 fire and ambulance appointments.

The board will also review quotes for rebuilding the water department’s supply inventory, wastewater pump repairs, and updates at the wastewater treatment plant, including quotes for a sludge tank and sludge pump.

A discussion on a possible tax cap override is also scheduled.

In financial matters, the clerk-treasurer will present bills totaling $143,909.81 across the general, water, and wastewater funds. Trustees will also consider a resolution changing mayors on LNB accounts.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, at 6:30 p.m.
