Deputies arrested a Victor man after a routine traffic stop on West Main Street revealed signs of drug impairment.
Benjamin T. Kirnie, 40, of Kensington Court in Victor, was taken into custody around 7:45 p.m. on December 17, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they stopped Kirnie’s vehicle and observed signs that indicated drug impairment. An investigation determined he had operated a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Deputies took Kirnie into custody without incident. They issued him uniform traffic tickets for driving while ability impaired by drugs and for displaying only one New York State license plate on his vehicle.
Kirnie is scheduled to return to Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.
