An inmate hurled toilet contents at a correction officer inside the Oneida County Correctional Facility, sparking an aggravated harassment charge, according to WSTM.
Sheriff’s officials said the incident happened Oct. 28, when an officer reported being hit with liquid thrown from two plastic cups during a confrontation inside the jail. Investigators later identified the inmate involved as Hassan Kasim.
Authorities charged Kasim on Dec. 16 with aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate following a criminal investigation. He remains in custody at the county jail and awaits arraignment on the new charge.
