A Newark man is facing murder charges after a body was discovered along a rural Wayne County trail, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Jared Nesmith was indicted for second-degree murder, concealing a corpse, and tampering with evidence in the death of Conan Guard, 49. Guard’s remains were found in September near the Zurich Bog Trail in Sodus after a tip led police to the scene.
Nesmith has been jailed without bail and is due back in court January 22 for motion arguments.
