Deputies arrested a Lyons man after responding to a reported domestic violence incident on Rice Street.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies took Matthew Butchino, 39, into custody following an investigation at a home on Rice Street in the Town of Lyons. Deputies charged him with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident began as a verbal dispute. Investigators allege the situation turned physical when Butchino struck a juvenile in the face.
Deputies arrested Butchino and transported him to the Wayne County Jail. Authorities held him to await CAP at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Butchino is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date for further proceedings.
