Auburn City Ambulance will now serve the town of Aurelius under a new $60,000 agreement, according to The Citizen.
The deal makes Aurelius the third Cayuga County town—joining Owasco and Springport—to partner with Auburn’s city-run EMS. The funds will support operations, but Auburn won’t be required to station an ambulance in the town.
Launched in 2021, Auburn City Ambulance has grown steadily as private providers left the region, with about 20% of its calls now coming from outside city limits.
