A lucky Powerball player in Watkins Glen just scored $50,000, according to the Elmira Star-Gazette.
The winning third-prize ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven on North Franklin Street for the Dec. 15 drawing. Two other $50K tickets were sold in Manhattan and Queens. No one hit the jackpot, which has now grown to an estimated $1.25 billion.
This is the third big-ticket win in the region in recent months, with previous winners in Campbell and Hornell.
