Police arrested a man after deputies responded to a vehicle off the road in the Town of Benton Tuesday morning.
The driver, 55-year-old Larry E. Enos of Penn Yan, failed field sobriety tests and deputies took him into custody.
Deputies responded around 10:13 a.m. to Havens Corners Road near Flat Street for a report of a vehicle in a ditch. They found Enos at the scene and conducted standardized field sobriety tests, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Enos faces felony DWI greater than .08%, driving while intoxicated, and moving from a lane unsafely. Deputies held him for arraignment at the next session of Yates County CAP Court.
Rushville Fire Department and Middlesex Ambulance also responded to the scene. Deputies Betts and Crofoot handled the call.
