Deputies arrested a driver after spotting an illegal turn near the Fingerlakes Mall late Tuesday night.
Sheriff’s officials identified the driver as Tobias A. More, 41, of Cayuga. Deputies took him into custody around 10:09 p.m. Dec. 9 following a traffic stop on Clark Street Road in the Town of Aurelius.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies saw a vehicle make an illegal right-hand turn at a traffic light while patrolling the area. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified More as the operator.
Deputies say their investigation determined More was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Officers placed him under arrest for driving while intoxicated, first offense, along with additional vehicle and traffic law violations.
Authorities transported More to the Public Safety Building, where he refused a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was later turned over for CAP arraignment and released the following morning on his own recognizance.
More is scheduled to appear in Aurelius Town Court on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.
