Auburn picks firm for housing, planning study

Auburn will spend up to $115,000 to update its comprehensive plan and analyze housing needs, according to The Citizen.

City Council is set to approve a contract with Rochester-based Highland Planning, which scored highest among three firms that bid on the project. The firm will lead land-use planning and provide a detailed housing market analysis to aid both city and countywide studies.

Funded mostly by a $90,000 state grant, the update will focus on housing, climate resilience, and economic development—key priorities since the plan was last adopted in 2010.
