A Seneca County man is facing felony charges after deputies say he crashed his vehicle while driving with nearly three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
Douglas Griffen, of Ovid, was arrested Thursday afternoon following a property damage accident in the Town of Ovid, according to Sheriff Tim Thompson.
Deputies say Griffen’s blood alcohol content was measured at 0.22%, well over the 0.08% legal limit. Because it was greater than 0.18%, he was charged with felony aggravated DWI.
Griffen was processed and released with an appearance ticket. He’s expected to appear in Town of Ovid Court at a later date to answer the charge.
