Big names and bold sounds coming to Fort Hill PAC this spring

Music lovers in the Finger Lakes are in for a treat next spring as Fort Hill Performing Arts Center rolls out a fresh lineup packed with jazz, bluegrass, Celtic fusion, and rock tributes.

From February through June, the historic Canandaigua venue will host seven acts that range from legendary local talent to high-energy tribute bands. The season kicks off with a Steely Dan celebration and wraps up with a nod to Genesis classics.

Diverse sounds, intimate setting

“This season truly has something for everyone,” said Fort Hill Executive Director Sueann Townsend in a release. “From big band brilliance to iconic rock tributes, we’re proud to offer a lineup that reflects our commitment to quality performances across genres.”

Here’s what’s coming:

  • Feb. 28: Bad Sneakers — A 13-piece band brings the music of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen back to Fort Hill PAC.
  • March 6: Joey Stempien Big Band — Rising jazz artists present bold, modern big band music.
  • March 17: Tartan Terrors — A Celtic-rock mashup with bagpipes, drums, and humor.
  • April 11: Dan Paisley & Southern Grass — Bluegrass heavyweights known for their traditional, hard-driving sound.
  • April 18: Gap Mangione & The New Big Band — Rochester’s own jazz legend leads a dynamic ensemble.
  • May 16: Thunderbeard — A ZZ Top tribute with all the grit and swagger.
  • June 6: Seconds Out — A Genesis tribute covering both the Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins eras.

Townsend said the venue’s historic charm adds something special to each performance. “Our theater provides an intimate setting that amplifies the energy of every show,” she said.
