The Village of Newark has hired Amy Perry to serve in its accounts payable department, officials announced.
Perry lives just outside the village with her husband, KC, and their two children. A 1998 graduate of Palmyra High School, she enjoys time with family, friends, and the family’s three dogs.
Mayor Jonathan Taylor praised Perry’s quick learning and strong skill set. “Amy’s skill set made it easy for her to learn the duties of the position quickly,” he said. “We are glad to have her as part of the team”.
Clerk/Treasurer Lynette Morrison echoed that sentiment. “Amy has been with the Village of Newark for a couple months now and fits right in,” she said. “Amy is not hesitant to jump in and assist when she sees a need. The office staff is looking forward to working with her”.
Perry said she’s excited to continue growing in her role and building connections in the Newark community.
