New swingtop bottle made in U.S. only available from Waterloo Container

Waterloo Container just unveiled a sleek, American-made swingtop bottle that craft beverage producers can’t get anywhere else.

The exclusive crownable bottle was created in partnership with Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America and is only available through the Seneca Falls-based company.

Unlike most imported swingtops, this new version is made entirely in the U.S., with a tall, refined silhouette designed for ciders, sparkling wines and specialty beverages. It’s built for moderate carbonation and premium presentation.

“This bottle represents more than a great package—it represents our founder Bill Lutz’s commitment to keeping quality glass manufacturing alive and well in the United States,” said Mark C. Pitifer of Waterloo Container.

The bottle comes in two color options: Flint (clear) and Amber (brown). And because it’s made domestically, there are no freight delays, no tariffs and no quality concerns from overseas manufacturing.

The launch marks a milestone in Waterloo’s long-running collaboration with Ardagh Glass Packaging. Waterloo, one of Ardagh’s East Coast distributors, worked closely with the manufacturer to bring the product to market quickly.

“Working with Bill Lutz and the Waterloo Container team—whose 45 years of experience on the East Coast and commitment to excellence is unmatched—has been an absolute privilege,” said David Humes, Vice President of Sales at AGP-North America. “This swingtop project showcases what can be achieved when two companies share a dedication to quality, innovation and American manufacturing”.

Waterloo Container is one of the last family-owned, full-line glass stocking distributors in the Northeast. The company’s focus on dependable service, ready-to-ship inventory, and industry expertise has earned it a trusted spot among wineries, cideries and craft beverage makers across the region.

Now, they’re inviting producers to experience the latest in premium packaging — without the headaches.

“No freight headaches. No tariffs. No compromises,” the company said. “Just premium American-made glass, ready when you need it”.
