Andrew Cuomo is suing — again — to block a state ethics panel from investigating his $5.1 million pandemic-era book deal, according to the Times Union.
The former governor claims the ethics commission is violating his civil rights and ignoring due process. He’s asking a judge to stop a hearing set for Monday, arguing the panel was illegally formed and shouldn’t revive an old case from its disbanded predecessor.
This comes months after New York’s highest court ruled the commission is constitutional, allowing the investigation to move forward. Cuomo, who’s already lost multiple rounds in court, says he’ll suffer “irreparable harm” if the probe continues.
