Android users may get Google settlement cash

If you bought apps or made in-app purchases on Android, you could soon get paid, according to the Ithaca Journal.

Google has paid $630 million into a settlement fund after a $700 million antitrust case led by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The lawsuit accused Google of using its app store monopoly to inflate prices and shut out rivals.

Anyone who used Google Play Billing between August 2016 and September 2023 may be eligible — with automatic payments of at least $2 expected once a court approves the deal in April 2026.
