A 54-year-old man was found unresponsive in his bed at Broome County Jail after failing to get up for a scheduled razor delivery, according to WIVT. Staff tried CPR but couldn’t revive him.
William Warnock Jr. had been serving time since June on robbery and menacing charges. Jail officials say he showed no signs of distress before his death, which they called “extremely unusual.”
This marks the jail’s second inmate death this year. A woman died in October from a separate medical emergency. Autopsy results for both are under review, with more details expected soon.
