Shoppers at Dollar General in Pennsylvania paid more than the shelf price — and now the company’s paying up, according to WBNG.
The retailer will shell out $1.55 million in a settlement after state investigators found widespread price discrepancies at checkout. Some stores failed nearly half of their pricing accuracy inspections between 2019 and 2023.
As part of the deal, Dollar General must retrain staff, conduct regular audits, and fix pricing issues within 24 hours to avoid future violations.
