DeFazio named assistant principal at Kelley Intermediate

John DeFazio has been appointed assistant principal at Kelley Intermediate School in Newark, filling the role left by Christina Sullivan’s recent promotion, according to the Finger Lakes Times.


DeFazio brings leadership experience from Schenectady, Geneva, and Rochester schools, most recently serving as principal of Mont Pleasant Middle School. District leaders praised his student-centered approach and ability to build strong school communities.

He lives in Rochester with his wife and three children and holds multiple degrees and certifications in education and leadership.
