Deputies arrested a man early Sunday morning after finding him asleep in his car on the shoulder of a rural road in Hopewell.
Indiana Z. Jones, 31, of Rushville, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following the incident around 3 a.m. on County Road 4.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and found Jones sleeping in the driver’s seat with the car parked along the north shoulder. After conducting field sobriety tests, deputies determined he was intoxicated.
Jones was issued tickets for aggravated DWI, standard DWI, and moving from a lane unsafely.
