Lake Placid restaurant owner joins race to succeed Stefanik in Congress

Stuart Amoriell, owner of The Pickled Pig in Lake Placid, launched his campaign Friday to replace Rep. Elise Stefanik in New York’s 21st District, according to WSYR.

Amoriell, a Democrat, pledged to focus on the economy, education, healthcare, and environmental protection. He joins a growing field of candidates after Stefanik announced her run for governor.

Two other Democrats and two Republicans are also running in the race to represent the sprawling North Country district.
