Nature lovers can start planning their next year of outdoor adventures — the 2026 Empire Pass is now available.
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced that the $80 pass is on sale now, offering unlimited day-use vehicle entry to state parks, boat launches, arboretums, park preserves, and DEC forest lands across New York.
Current passholders can renew online and save $8 per card by keeping their existing physical or digital pass. That means no waiting in lines or relying on the mail during peak season.

Shoppers can purchase or renew online at shop.parks.ny.gov or by calling 518-474-0458. Multi-year and lifetime options are also available:
- 3-year pass: $205
- 5-year pass: $320
- Lifetime Empire Passport: $750
Seniors 62+ can enjoy free weekday park entry through the Golden Park Program by simply showing a New York State ID. Veterans and Gold Star families may qualify for the Lifetime Liberty Pass, which offers discounted access to parks and historic sites.
