Republicans in D.C. are accusing Congressman Josh Riley of hypocrisy for promoting $2.6 million in federal grants he opposed in budget votes, according to WIVT News.
The grants include funds for a new fire station in Guilford and hospital upgrades in Margaretville. The GOP says Riley shouldn’t take credit after voting against the budget bills that included them.
Riley’s office defended the move, saying his vote was a stand over Obamacare subsidy debates—and that the grants were secured due to his direct advocacy in the appropriations process.
