A Macedon woman was airlifted to the hospital Monday evening after her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car in the Town of Walworth, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash occurred around 5:42 p.m. on Route 441 near Downs Road. The investigation revealed that Lorraine Watson was driving westbound when she veered into the eastbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Colby Mitchell. Mitchell was not injured in the crash.
Watson was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight with undisclosed injuries. A juvenile passenger in her vehicle was also taken to Strong by Wayne County Ambulance. Their condition has not been released.
Deputies noted that the investigation is ongoing. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including New York State Police, several local fire departments, Wayne County EMS units, and Mercy Flight.
