Holiday classics, live vocals, and even Buddy the Elf will take center stage in Auburn on December 14.
The Auburn Chamber Orchestra’s “Sounds of the Season” concert kicks off at 2 p.m. that Sunday inside Auburn High School. Admission is free, and the family-friendly event is open to the public.
Now in its 39th season, the orchestra will perform a festive lineup under the direction of conductor Dr. Victor Vallo, Jr. The program includes Joy to the World, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, Sleigh Ride, and A Most Wonderful Christmas. Baritone David Rudari will join the orchestra for Gesu Bambino, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, and a sing-along performance of Sing in Exultation.
In addition to the music, families can meet Buddy the Elf and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Organizers say the concert is a chance to celebrate the season together with neighbors and community members. Donations are welcome but not required.
