A Disney Cruise turned back at dawn after a 73‑year‑old man fell overboard near Auckland, according to 7News via WHAM.
Crew members searched the water for about five hours before continuing the voyage. Passengers said the captain announced the man couldn’t be found, creating a sombre mood onboard for the rest of the day.
Authorities aren’t treating the disappearance as suspicious, and the man’s identity hasn’t been released.
