A Wayne County mother is fighting to keep her late son’s memorial intact after the Huron Evergreen Cemetery cited her for multiple violations, according to RochesterFirst.com.
Heidi Bruni says her family created a heartfelt tribute to 13-year-old Jydehn Crocker, who died in 2023 — but cemetery officials claim benches, a grave blanket, lights, and even a border break the rules. One bench was removed without notice, and the latest letter from the cemetery spelled Jydehn’s name wrong.
Bruni says she’s not backing down, calling the enforcement heartless and vowing to honor her son regardless of the warnings.
