FLCC brings Anne Frank’s story to the stage Nov. 20–22

Finger Lakes Community College will stage three performances of The Diary of Anne Frank next week, offering a powerful retelling of one of history’s most enduring stories of resilience.

The show runs Nov. 20 through 22 in the main auditorium at the college’s Canandaigua campus. Evening shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

The production features the 2001 adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, which draws on newly uncovered diary entries and survivor accounts to present a more intimate look at Anne Frank’s life in hiding during the Holocaust.

The cast includes students from across the region, with Krystal Anderson of Farmington and Everest Cook of Clifton Springs sharing the role of Anne. Professor Beth Johnson directs the production, supported by a team of staff and student designers.

Tickets are $15 at the door for general admission, $10 for seniors and non-FLCC students, and free for anyone with an FLCC ID.
