Waterloo’s 52nd annual Christmas Craft Show set for Nov. 22

One of the area’s longest-running holiday traditions returns this month as the 52nd annual Christmas Craft Show takes over the Ministry Center in Waterloo on Friday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event — sponsored by St. Francis-St. Clare Parish — will feature more than 30 local crafters, two vendor-filled classrooms, a packed hallway full of silent auction items, and plenty of space for visitors to browse and shop.

“This year’s Christmas Craft Show will have more room in the gym for visitors to look over and support our crafters than previous years,” said event chair Sharon Geraci. “We’ll also have a designated eating area for those who stay for lunch.”

Fr. Jim’s handmade wooden crosses — a yearly favorite — will be available for purchase at the parish’s religious table. The Catholic Daughters will return with their big draw: gently used, cleaned, and donated jewelry sold at deep discounts.

Santa will make an appearance from 10 a.m. to noon, and visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras for photos.

Homemade food, silent auction, and more

The kitchen will be serving homemade lunch options, including slices of pie, available for dine-in or takeout. A Cookie Walk will also offer homemade cookies sold by the pound — a holiday favorite for many regulars.

Meanwhile, a silent auction will run throughout the event, featuring more than 40 items like dinner gift certificates, themed gift baskets, and other one-of-a-kind offerings. Winners will be announced at the end of the show and contacted if not present.

Admission and parking are free. The show will be held at the Ministry Center (former St. Mary’s School) at 35 Center Street in Waterloo.
