Deputies arrested a man after a traffic stop in Rose uncovered drugs, alcohol, and signs of intoxication behind the wheel.
Carl Conboy, 38, was pulled over on Brick Schoolhouse Road early Thursday morning after deputies spotted him driving erratically. They say he failed field sobriety tests and later blew a .12% on a chemical breath test.
A search of Conboy’s vehicle turned up a container of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. He also had an open alcohol container in the car and reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
Conboy faces multiple charges, including felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, two counts of DWI, and traffic violations. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail and arraigned later that evening.
He’s expected back in court at a later date.
