A new fellowship at Cornell’s Brooks School is helping veterans shift from military life to careers in state and local government, according to the Cornell Chronicle.
Eight student veterans in the inaugural Service to Service cohort are applying their military experience to public policy and health leadership. The program, backed by the Volcker Alliance, connects service members with education and networks to launch careers in civic leadership.
From advising Congress to managing clinics to planning urban recovery, the fellows are already making impact — and Cornell is expanding support to include more veterans, National Guard members, and future policymakers.
