Epstein Files Rumored to be even more damaging to Trump than GOP had imagined

Epstein Files rumored to be damaging to Trump

Anxiety is reportedly rippling through Republican ranks as new whispers suggest the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files could be far more damaging to Donald Trump than previously believed.

According to veteran journalist David Shuster — who has worked with MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News — several House Republicans have been warned by Department of Justice contacts that the Epstein files are “especially compromising” for the president.

Shuster shared the explosive claim Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter), writing that “speculation and rumors [are] sweeping through the GOP caucus” about what’s inside the documents.

What’s Reportedly Inside the Epstein Files

In his post, Shuster referenced conversations among GOP members who claim to have heard that the DOJ’s Epstein records are “worse than Michael Wolff’s description” of photos showing Trump with “half-naked teenage girls.”

The remark refers to an October interview with Trump biographer Michael Wolff, who told The Daily Beast he had seen “about a dozen Polaroid snapshots” depicting Trump and Epstein with topless young women. Wolff alleged Epstein showed him the photos from a safe while trying to convince him to write a book about his life.

If true, Shuster suggested, the materials in federal custody may be even more explicit — and more politically explosive.

Bondi’s Testimony Sparks Alarm

Concerns deepened during a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing when Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) whether she had personally viewed any of the seized Epstein photos. Bondi dodged the question and instead pivoted to attack Whitehouse over campaign donations from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, who also had links to Epstein.

“She didn’t give a denial,” Shuster noted, saying her evasive response “spooked” GOP insiders — especially given Bondi’s longstanding ties to Trump.

Bipartisan Push to Unseal the Files

Shuster also reported that more than 100 Republicans are prepared to join Democrats on a bipartisan discharge petition to release the Epstein documents. The effort, led by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), is reportedly just one signature away from triggering a floor vote.

Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who recently won a special election to succeed her late father, has pledged to provide that final signature once sworn in.

What Comes Next

Between Shuster’s claims of DOJ insider warnings, Bondi’s refusal to directly answer questions, and the growing bipartisan movement to unseal Epstein’s files, Republicans appear to be bracing for impact.

If the documents are released — and the rumors prove accurate — the fallout could be devastating for Trump’s political future and the broader GOP establishment.
