Syracuse football begins a two-game road swing today with a trip to face No. 18 Miami at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The Orange enters the matchup at 3-6 overall and 1-5 in ACC play, while the Hurricanes sit at 6-2 and 2-2 in the conference. Syracuse is seeking its first ranked win of the season and hope to build on last year’s dramatic 42-38 victory over the Hurricanes at the JMA Wireless Dome, when they overcame a 21-point deficit for the largest comeback in program history.
This marks Syracuse’s first visit to South Florida since 2017 and the 25th all-time meeting between the programs. Miami leads the series 16-8, though the teams have split their two ACC-era matchups.
Miami started the year with five straight victories but has dropped two of its last three, including a 26-20 overtime loss at SMU last weekend. The Hurricanes have been strong defensively and continue to contend in the ACC despite a tough stretch in October.
Syracuse, meanwhile, looks to find consistency after a challenging midseason slate. A win would give the Orange back-to-back victories over Miami for the first time since 1997-98.
