Leonard’s Express named top workplace for women in trucking

Leonard’s Express has once again earned national recognition as one of the best companies for women to work in the transportation industry.

For the fourth year in a row, the Farmington-based carrier was named a “Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association (WIT).

“This organization has demonstrated that it places significant importance on gender diversity as part of its business strategy,” said WIT Editorial Director Brian Everett.

The award honors companies with inclusive cultures, flexible work policies, competitive benefits, and clear paths for advancement. This year’s list was based on more than 21,000 votes from across the industry.

Leonard’s Express CEO Kyle Johnson called the award a continuation of the company’s founding values. “Since day one, when my mother Patricia Johnson co-founded Leonard’s Express, we have placed strong emphasis on female empowerment in a predominantly male-run industry.”

The company has received multiple accolades from WIT in recent years. Earlier this year, Leonard’s Express driver Sandy Winters was named a finalist for Driver of the Year, and other team members have been recognized as Women to Watch in Transportation.

Leonard’s Express will be recognized at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, taking place Nov. 9–12 in Dallas, Texas.
