Rain and wind swept through the Wayne-Finger Lakes on Halloween night, but the weather did not slow down the high school fall sports action. In Newark, Williamson and Gananda/Marion girls soccer battled to a scoreless draw before the Marauders prevailed in penalty kicks to claim the Class B2 sectional title, their second straight. On the volleyball court, Lyons and Bloomfield both punched their tickets to the semifinals with straight-set victories.
