A Covert man is facing charges after deputies say he physically restrained another person during a confrontation in Romulus.
Seneca County deputies arrested 59-year-old John R. Grunder Thursday evening and charged him with unlawful imprisonment and harassment.
Investigators said Grunder grabbed a male victim by the clothing and tried to start a fistfight. During the altercation, deputies say he forced the victim into a roadside ditch and held him down using his forearm and body weight.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the Town of Romulus.
Grunder was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
