Early voting is off to a strong start in Ontario County, with more than 1,800 voters already casting their ballots — nearly double the turnout at the same point in 2023.
The Ontario County Board of Elections released updated numbers this week showing that 1,825 voters have checked in at early voting sites since polls opened on Saturday. That’s a significant jump from 1,085 at this point two years ago, and far ahead of turnout in 2021 and 2019.
Mail ballot returns gaining momentum
So far, more than 1,100 completed mail-in ballots — including Early Vote By Mail and Absentee ballots — have been returned. That’s out of about 2,270 ballots sent to voters across the county.
Ballots can still be returned by mail (must be postmarked no later than Election Day), or dropped off at any early voting site, Election Day poll site, or directly at the Board of Elections office.

Voters still have time to cast ballots ahead of Election Day. Early voting continues through Sunday, November 2, at locations in Canandaigua, Geneva, and Victor.
- Thursday & Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
All 44 polling sites in Ontario County will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4.
