Ontario County is offering a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets on Friday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ontario County Public Works building in Canandaigua.
Hosted in partnership with Happy Tails Animal Shelter, the clinic is open to healthy pets at least three months old and is available to all residents free of charge.
Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged to help reduce wait times. You can register at ontariocountyny.gov/rabiesclinic or scan the QR code on the event flyer.
Pet owners are reminded to bring any existing rabies certificates if available. Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in secure carriers — one per animal. A maximum of four pets per handler is allowed.
The clinic will be held at:
Ontario County Public Works
2962 County Road 48
Canandaigua, NY 14424
Donations are appreciated, and the event will run on a first-come, first-served basis.
