Business leaders from across the region gathered at Finger Lakes Textiles on Oct. 8 for the Finger Lakes Chamber’s October Business After Hours Mixer.
Located on Danaren Drive in Waterloo, Finger Lakes Textiles (FLT) is a division of Mozaic and a major manufacturer of winter headwear for the U.S. Armed Forces under the Arctic Gear brand. The company operates a 15,000-square-foot facility with over 50 employees in a fully inclusive workforce.
Guests toured the production floor, spoke with employees, and learned about FLT’s history — from its origins at the Seneca Knitting Mills to its 2019 expansion into the current facility. Mozaic CEO Allen Connely spoke about FLT’s mission and milestones, highlighting its blend of commercial success and social impact.
Chamber President Miranda Odell noted that nearly every attendee was visiting the site for the first time, reinforcing the importance of these mixers in spotlighting member businesses.
The next Business After Hours Mixer is scheduled for Nov. 12 at AllClean Power Wash in Shortsville. Space is limited and reservations are required.
