Syracuse faces its toughest challenge of the 2025 season today when it travels to Atlanta to battle No. 7 Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon. on ESPN.
The matchup opens a stretch that will see the Orange play three of their next four contests on the road. Syracuse enters at 3-4 overall and 1-3 in ACC play, while Georgia Tech remains one of six unbeaten FBS teams at 7-0 (4-0 ACC) and sits atop the conference standings.
The Orange are looking to build on their strongest defensive outing of the season after recording seven sacks and 13 tackles for loss in last week’s 30-13 win over Pittsburgh. The performance marked the most sacks by an ACC team in a single game this year and the fewest yards allowed by Syracuse all season.
Georgia Tech, meanwhile, has been one of college football’s breakout stories under head coach Brent Key. Quarterback Haynes King has powered the Yellow Jackets’ offense, ranking second in the ACC in total offense (289.3 yards per game) and rushing yards per game (93.3). Syracuse will look to slow King and earn its first win over a ranked opponent this year.
The Orange claimed the most recent matchup against the Yellow Jackets in 2024, but are 2-3 all-time in the series.
